Scot Holland | CBRE has announced the closing of a deal for securing new office premises with a total area of more than 3,000 sqm for NCPOC in Atyrau. The JV North Caspian Production Operating Company BV, to be jointly owned by Shell and KMG, will manage production operations on behalf of NCOC.
The ‘North Caspian Production Operating Company’ (NCPOC) acts on behalf of 7 co-venture consortium partners as the operator appraising and developing the hydrocarbon assets of 11 offshore blocks defined under the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) of 1997.
Assets within the 5,600 square kilometers PSA area include the Kashagan field, the first large-scale offshore petroleum development in Kazakhstan with recoverable reserves estimated at some 13 billion barrels of oil equivalent. Other assets include the Kalamkas, Aktote and Kairan fields. NCPOC is incorporated in the Netherlands with offices in Astana and Atyrau. All consortium members hold equity in accordance with their respective participating interests in the venture.
The leading position of Scot Holland | CB Richard Ellis on the commercial property market of the Caspian region, as well as the previous working experience in residential and commercial property leasing and relationship between the companies in Atyrau and Astana were taken into consideration by NCPOC.
