Annual Ranking from Corporate Responsibility Officer Magazine
Los Angeles – March 12, 2009 – CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has been named one of the 100 best corporate citizens in the U.S. for 2009, according to a new ranking published by Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) magazine. CBRE was the top company within the real estate industry on the CRO’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, which measures corporate responsibility and governance attributes for U.S.-based, publicly traded companies in the Russell 1000. “Strong corporate values and a commitment to our communities have been the foundation of our success for more than 100 years,” said Calvin W. Frese, Jr., CB Richard Ellis Global Chief Operating Officer & Group President, Americas. “We are proud to be recognized as a leader in corporate responsibility.” CB Richard Ellis published its first Corporate Responsibility Report in 2008.
CRO magazine has published its best corporate citizens list for ten years. The magazine evaluated U.S.-based companies using more than 150 publicly available data elements in seven categories. The final rankings were determined based on weighted averages of these individual scores. CBRE’s strongest categories included governance, employee relations and environment. Other categories assessed are climate change, human rights, philanthropy and financial.
